Past Sales

Why log past sales

If you sold plants before you started using garden.gg, your dashboard would otherwise start at zero. Log past sales lets you enter a lot you’ve already sold, with each sale dated to when it happened, so week, month and season reports reflect what you actually did.

Open it from the Lots tab with Log a sold-out lot / past sales, or Log past sales on an empty Lots page. The page explains: “For a lot you’ve already sold, like last spring’s tomatoes. Each sale counts toward the week it happened. History lots never appear on your storefront.”

The lot

  • Name, for example “Coyote cherry tomato”.
  • Plant and Category (optional), Container and Price each.
  • Started: when the plants were potted up or sown.
  • How many did you start with?

Sales

Add each sale with + Add a sale (up to 50 per lot):

  • Date sold
  • Qty
  • Price each (“Blank price = the price each” from the lot above)
  • Paid with
  • Sale event (optional) and a buyer

Use Remove to drop a row.

Losses (optional)

“Plants that died, got culled or went unsold.” Add each with + Add a loss (up to 20): Date, Qty and Why?. Losses feed the lot’s loss rate and cost per plant, the same as on a live lot.

Save

A summary line keeps you honest, for example “24 started · 20 sold · 3 lost · 1 left”. If you entered more sales than plants you get “More sold than you started with.”

Tick Archive when sold out to file it away: “An archived lot doesn’t count toward your active-lot limit. Its sales stay in your reports.” Press Save history. You’ll see “Coyote cherry tomato logged and archived”.

Logging a lot that just sold out

The same form works for a lot you sold this season but never entered: set the start date, the starting count and each market day’s sales, and tick Archive when sold out.

For a lot that’s still on your bench, add it as a normal lot instead and backdate individual sales with Date sold on quick sale.
