Yes, the Sprout plan is free forever. We believe everyone should have access to great garden tracking tools. Sprout includes 10 plots, 100 plants, full gamification, 5GB photo storage, data export, API access, and 100 starter scans to identify your entire garden when you sign up.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged a prorated amount. When downgrading, the remaining balance is credited to your account.
Your data is always preserved and you can always export it — CSV and JSON exports are free on every plan. Premium features like advanced analytics and environment monitoring will become view-only until you re-upgrade.
Every new account gets a one-time bank of bonus plant identification scans — 100 on Sprout, 500 on Bloom, and unlimited on Harvest. Use them to scan and catalog your existing garden when you first sign up. Once your starter scans are used, your daily limit applies.
Take a photo of a plant problem — yellowing leaves, spots, pests, wilting — and our AI will identify the issue, suggest treatments, and recommend prevention. If the plant is linked to your garden, the diagnosis uses your care history, environment data, and soil tests for more accurate results.
Bring Your Own AI key lets you connect your own Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic, or any OpenAI-compatible API key. With a BYO key, plant identification and diagnosis become unlimited on any plan — you pay the AI provider directly. Available on all tiers including Sprout.
Every plan includes API access. Sprout gets 1 key with 100 requests per day — enough for personal integrations. Bloom includes 100 requests per minute, and Harvest offers 5 keys with 1,000 requests per minute.
